CONDITIONS FOR MEMBERSHIP
The membership of the Forum shall be open to any person engaged in Public Relations activities as defined by the Forum and also to any Firm, Body Corporate or Association of Persons.
There shall be the following eleven classes of Members as defined hereunder:

Annual Membership
- A person who devotes the whole or a major portion of his time to the practice of public relations as defined by the Forum and who is either employed in the internal public relations department of an organization or who practices as public relations consultant or counsellor for any business, commercial or industrial organization or association shall be designated a Regular Member (ARM). This category shall also include those engaged in teaching public relations at Institutions recognized by the Forum and those representatives nominated by corporate members who qualify for membership as defined by this clause.
- One who does not qualify for membership as defined in clause (a) but who believes in the practice and promotion of sound and ethical public relations if enrolled, as a member shall be designated an Associate Member (ASM). This category shall also include those representatives nominated by corporate members who do not qualify as Members as defined in clause (a)
- A company, institution or association which believes in and encourages the practice of organized public relations, if elected shall be designated an Institutional Member (AIM). Two persons are enrolled against this category.
- All bonafide students studying Public Relations, Advertising, Journalism or Publicity and such other courses deemed fit by the Forum are entitled to qualify as Student Members. If elected, the Principal of the College should certify their application.
Life Membership
- A person who devoted the whole or a major portion of his time to the practice/counsel/teaching of public relations as defined by the Forum and who is aged above 70 years, shall be designated a Honorary Member (LHM).
- A person who devoted the whole or a major portion of his time to the practice/counsel/teaching of public relations as defined by the Forum and who pays life subscription as fixed by the Forum, if enrolled, as a member shall be designated a Regular Life Member (LRM).
- A person who believes in the practice and promotion of sound and ethical public relations and pays life subscription as fixed by the Forum, if enrolled, as a member shall be designated a Associate Life Member (LSM).
- An organization, corporate body, company, institution or association which believes in and encourages the practice of organized public relations, and pays life subscription as fixed by the Forum, shall be designated as Corporate Life Member (LCM). Four persons are enrolled against this category
International Membership
- A person other than Indian either by birth or by domicile who devotes the whole or a major portion of his time to the practice of public relations as defined by the Forum and who is either employed in the internal public relations department of an organization or who practices as public relations consultant or counsellor for any business, commercial or industrial organization or association and who pays annual subscription as fixed by the forum in dollars or equivalent value of currency of his nation, shall be designated International Regular Member (IRM). This category shall also include those engaged in teaching public relations at Institutions recognized by the Forum and those representatives nominated by corporate members who qualify for membership as defined by this clause.
- A person other than Indian either by birth or by domicile who devotes the whole or a major portion of his time to the practice of public relations as defined by the Forum and who is either employed in the internal public relations department of an organization or who practices as public relations consultant or counselor for any business, commercial or industrial organization or association and who pays Life subscription as fixed by the forum in dollars or equivalent value of currency of his nation, shall be designated International Life Member (ILM). This category shall also include those engaged in teaching public relations at Institutions recognized by the Forum and those representatives nominated by corporate members who qualify for membership as defined by this clause.
- An organization, corporate body, company, institution or association, established and working outside Indian Territories, which believes in and encourages the practice of organized public relations, and pays annual subscription as fixed by the Forum in dollars or equivalent value of currency of the nation, shall be designated as International Corporate Member (ICM). Four persons are enrolled against this category
There shall be an Entrance Fee of Rs.100/- (USD-50 for International Category members) for all categories of members. Applications for admission to membership of the Forum shall be made to the Forum in writing on a prescribed form Click Here, accompanied by the Subscription for the first year of membership for approval of the Forum. The Forum shall have absolute power and discretion in accepting or refusing any application for membership and its decision shall be final and it shall not be bound to give any reason or explanation for its decision. Subscription is also subject to the rules & regulations of The Forum and the amendments made from time to time.
Any person ceasing to be a member of the Forum for any reason shall nevertheless remain liable to pay all annual subscriptions and other sums (if any) presently payable by him to the Forum at the date of his ceasing to be a member.
